Episode 8 of The Builder is now rendering scene 3 (of 10 in total). The episode picks up right where Ep7 ended and continues the plot connected to the building site.

The episode will mark a clear change in tack as the two last episodes of season 2 (eps 9 and 10) will lead us to a major plot point with a marked change of focus for the whole story. This will also change the dynamic of the MCs interaction with his surroundings.

I'm on purpose being non-specific on this, as I don't want to spoil the dynamics that will govern Season 3.

Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy this little solemn moment with Synne, who's at her boarding school in this episode.

The Builder is a visual novel game

Some of you have expressed a want for more gameplay in terms of being able to stay in the universe for more time. I made the early choice of to not turn The Builder into a grinding game with point-and-click and map navigation for you to seek out the next event of the story. This would have prolonged the gameplay, but it would also mean that you would spend a lot of meaningless time clicking around in the universe of Fjorda.

I've also received requests for more alternative storylines. I plan on adding those as we progress, but remember that forking the story creates double the work. For now, I have chosen to progress the main story, and rather come back later to explore alternative forking and side plots. I agree with you that this is good fun.
