Dear supporters of The Builder, I had a hard time finding an image for this dev update about Episode 9 because almost all of the images rendered so far would give away bits of the plot.

I finally decided to go with this lady, who you've already met briefly. She will, as you might have guessed, be a pivotal character and maybe provoke some changes in our hero's life.

I am really enjoying the work on this episode because the plot thickens towards the first culmination at the end of Ep10. Increased conflict means that our hero has to show his true colors in different ways, and I find that intriguing.

Those of you who follow the #progression channel over at Discord know that scene 2 was very technical and had a lot of characters in it, which makes renders and progression slow.

Scene 3 is faster with only two characters, but then there will be another big scene in 5, and a giant one as the last scene 10 of the episode.

I will sneak in one or two impregnations in this episode too, given that Ep8 was a bit of a dry run, more focused on story advancement.

My ambition is a late September release, and I will try to focus on progression and not get obsessed about small details in the renders. The challenge for me is that creating good visuals is part of the joy with developing this game, so it's not that easy to let ambition go... I guess we all pay a price for our psychology one way or another.

The Builder is a (hopefully) nice mix of funny, sexy, delicate and touching, and I really hope you will be enjoying playing through Ep9 as much as I am creating it - once we get there.
